जीवनकुमार प्रसाईं संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिकाको बर्मिङघमस्थित युनिभर्सिटी अफ अलावामामा अनुसन्धान अनि अध्यापनमा संलग्न छन् । उनले अढाइ दसकभन्दा बढी समयदेखि जडीबुटी र खाद्यपदार्थमा रहेका पोलीफेनोलको क्यान्सरलगायत जीर्ण रोगहरूको नियन्त्रण तथा उपचारमा हुने असरका क्षेत्रमा अनुसन्धान गर्दै आएका छन् । उनले अमेरिकाको नेसनल इन्स्टीट्यूट अफ हेल्थ (एनआइएच) बाट वैज्ञानिक अनुसन्धानका लागि अनुदानसमेत प्राप्त गरेका छन् । खोजीमै आधारित उनका आलेख ‘साइन्स’ लगायत जर्नलहरूमा प्रकाशित छन् । उनले जापानको तोयामा मेडिकल एन्ड फर्मास्युटिकल युनिभर्सिटीबाट औषधि विज्ञानमा विद्यावारिधि गरेका हुन् ।
Jeevan Prasain has been actively involved in researching the medicinal and pharmaceutical properties of various edible plants for more than two decades. His research has also been published in numerous journals, including Science.
