The book deals with ways of living a long and healthy life. The author argues that although people often attribute a long and healthy life to genes and portray the genetic makeup as the sole determiner of health, that need not be the case. Eating healthy and in moderation, exercising regularly, and living in a clean environment, according to the author, do not just make a person healthy, but also undo or dilute the effects of certain harmful genetic mutations.
